IIME - VIETNAM 2011 OFFERS BOUNDLESS BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Highly recognized as the most rewarding show of the industrial machinery in Vietnam, IIME-VIETNAM is proud to repeat its success over the past 18 years. The 19th International Industrial Machinery Exhibition (IIME - VIETNAM 2011) incorporating “PLASTIC FAIR”, “METALTECH”, “PRINT & PACK”, “FOODPACK” and “AUTOMATION” has been again successfully inaugurated on 10 to 13 May at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 126 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions showcased a comprehensive range of trendy products and innovative technologies.  Showing the international presence, national group pavilions such as China, Taiwan, Thailand and Korea were also formed to participate in the fair. Over 7,250 trade visitors from 18 countries and regions attended the fair so as to keep abreast of the latest development of the industry. It reinforced its position as the most representative event of its kind in Vietnam.

“IIME VIETNAM 2011” also symbolized the country’s most vital sourcing opportunity in the fields of machinery, plastics, metal, printing, packaging and automation as well.

Industrial and machinery industry in Vietnam has developed rapidly over the past decades and shows great potential for development in the future.

According to the information provided by Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) – The World Factbook indicates that Vietnam industrial production growth rate (includes manufacturing, mining and construction) has been ranked in the top ten in the world, the fastest growth speed over other Asian countries.

In addition, even though Vietnam has been affected by the global economic slowdown and global inflation, the World Economic Outlook (April 2011) indicates that Vietnam’s GDP growth rate will achieve 6.3% in 2011, and 6.8% in 2012. Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade has estimated that there is about $3.5 billion of licensed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects in the first five months of this year.
