  "The 17^th International Exhibition on Shoes & Leather Industry" (Shoes & Leather 2007 Guangzhou) was held from 30 May - 2 June at Chinese Export Commodities Fair Pazhou Complex with great accomplishment.  This is regarded as the highly reputed shoes and leather exhibition in China, which links you to advanced tanning technologies and superior leather all under one roof.

The exhibition area reached 52,000 square meters and gathered 892 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, namely Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bangladesh, China, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Holland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau SAR, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan Region, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and USA.  A total of 25,713 trade visitors from more than 56 countries and regions registered in the 4-day exhibition.  Therein 66.3% (17,048) of the visitors came from Guangdong China and 17.5% (4,499) from other Chinese provinces.  The remaining 16.2% (4,166) came from overseas.

The 3 sessions technical seminars were also well attended, attracting close to 150 delegates.  The conferences were jointly supported by SATRA Technology Centre, German Leather Federation and Association of Engineers in Environment Technology.  Meanwhile, the "Trend Walk" showcased 2007 - 2008's fashion and senses by new materials, components, finished products and the Fashion Show; six fashion and shoes designers were invited from Indonesia, Malaysia, Shanghai and Guangzhou to showcase their sensual and creativeness trend collections.

"The 18^th International Exhibition on Shoes & Leather Industry" incorporate with "Guangzhou International Leather Exhibition - GILE" and "Guangzhou International Tanning Technology & Machinery Exhibition - GITTME" will be staged again from 28 - 31 May 2008 at the same venue.
